Born in Bandung on December 8, 1944. He is a Independent Commissioner of PT Bakrieland Development Tbk based on decision of the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders dated December 19, 2008 and reappointed as Independent Commissioner at the Annual GMS on 13 June 2024.

Concurrently he also serves as Chairman of the Executive Board of the Indonesian Institute of Commissioners and Directors (LKDI), member of the Expert Council of the National Committee on Governance Policy (KNKG), member of Honorary Board of the Professional in Risk Management Association, Chairman of the Certification Board of the Indonesian Audit Committee Association (IKAI), as well as Chairman and Member of the Audit Committee in various public companies.  With the experience of more than 30 years as Public Accountant, he served as Managing Partner and Chairman of KPMG Indonesia, Senior Partner in Kanaka Puradiredja, Suhartono Public Accounting Firm (KAP), Chairman of the Honorary Council of the Indonesian Institute of Accountants (IAI) Chairman of the Executive Honorary Board of the Indonesian Audit Committee Association (IKAI), member of the National Committee on Governance Policy (KNKG) and Chairman of the Formulation Team of the 2019 Indonesian Corporate Governance Guidelines.

He completed his studies in Accounting from the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Padjadjaran, Bandung.
